OCQMS - Open Clinical Quality Management System

OCQM is a scalable, interoperable and sustainable IT-tool for the documentation of patients with different diseases in routine daily work, with many research options for the future (including linkage to biobanks).

OCQMS - Open Clinical Quality Management

Since 2009 seantis is responsible for the active development of the SCQM online database (Swiss Clinical Quality Management in Rheumatic Diseases),  with many features to assess disease activity and follow-up of selected rheumatic diseases for research purposes in Switzerland. Since 1995 this registry is rapidly growing, with currently more than 9.300 patients and more than 41.400 visits documented in one large database for quality and research purposes.

With OCQM, the novel Open Clinical Quality Management online database, the work flow of data gathering has become clearer, with distinct headings from the patients' profile to history, laboratory, examination, imaging and documentation of the current examination. Additional information for ongoing clinical studies and links to local biobanks can be added on demand.

OCQMS-Walkthrough

The option of modular data entry is the key feature of OCQM. For multimorbid patients or patients with systemic diseases, even several disease modules may be chosen to add standardised formulars for the same patient. The new technique opens a wide range of applications and future research projects. Many modules will be added in the next years.

One core functionality of OCQM is the newly developed report system, which simplifies the physicians' work to generate a report at the end of the examination. All items can be changed as often as necessary before finalisation.

Care Plan - Summary

Open also means that additional comments can be added and are reported, so that all physicians comments are fully documented in the final report.
